Would you consider yourself to be a good person? Yes No
If someone should call you a criminal, would you agree? Yes No
Could I ask you a few questions to see if that is true?
Have you ever LIED before? (This implies, have you ever mentioned something that is not true) Yes No
What do you call someone who tells a lie? __________ Revelation 21:8
Have you ever STOLEN something before? (That is, have you ever taken something that does not belong to you, without proper permission. Maybe papers clip from the office) Yes No Keep in mind: The value, size, and amount don’t matter? Copying homework, cheating on a test, taking someone else’s credit are other examples.
What do you call someone who steals? ____________ 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Jesus said ““You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:27-28
Have you ever LUSTED before? Yes No
So, what does that make you?
______________
So, by your own admission you have just admitted to being what?
1. __________ 2. ___________ 3. __________
These are only 3 of the Ten Commandments.
Now, would you consider yourself a good person?
IF God judged you by the Ten Commandments on Judgment Day would you be: Innocent or Guilty
Where do you think you would go? Heaven or Hell Did you know it’s not God’s desire to see anyone go to Hell? The Bible says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3: 16 As we have illustrated above, there is no human being that can stand in the Presence of God and claim he/she has no sin. The Bible says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God …” Rom. 3: 23 When Adam disobeyed God, he took on the nature of sin and the entire human race became sin. Since sin is the nature of the devil, sinful man was condemned into eternal punishment with the devil and his demons in hell. To grant man righteousness that leads to eternal life with God, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, offered Himself as a sacrifice for man on the cross. He shed His righteous blood to atone for the sin of the human race. Whoever accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour receives the sacrifice of atonement and he/she is delivered from eternal death in hell. Do you want the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ? Even though “all have sinned, … they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” Rom. 3: 24 If you confess your sins, (acknowledge before God that you are a sinner) and ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, you will receive eternal salvation (forgiveness of sins and eternal life).
