Are Free Masons Christians?

What is freemasonry all about? Is it a religion, a club, an elitist society or a cult? Someone once said it is about "money, fame, and power". If that is true, then it would be just an elitist society. But is it just that?

The best way to confirm the true identity of freemasonry is to examine the writings of its leaders.
Candidates for regular Freemasonry are required to declare a belief in a Supreme Being. However, the candidate is not asked to expand on, or explain, his interpretation of Supreme Being. The discussion of politics and religion is forbidden within a Masonic Lodge, in part so a Mason will not be placed in the situation of having to justify his personal interpretation. Thus, reference to the Supreme Being can mean the Christian Trinity to a Christian Mason, Allah to a Muslim Mason, Para Brahman to a Hindu Mason, etc.

Consequently, Freemasonry accepts men from a range of faiths, including (but not limited to) Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Sikhism. As a result, Freemasonry uses Volume of the Sacred Law (VSL) as a generic term for a religious book.
While most Freemasons would take the view that the term Supreme Being equates to God, others may hold a more complex or philosophical interpretation of the term.

In the freemasonry ritual, the Supreme Being is referred to as the Great Architect of the Universe, which alludes to the use of architectural symbolism within Freemasonry.

Perhaps, the greatest insight into what freemasonry is all about is provided by Albert Pike, a confirmed Satanist and Masonic author Manly P. Hall.
Quoting from Albert Pike's monumental Freemason book entitled, "Morals and Dogma of the Ancient And Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry," considered by many to be the absolute authority of Freemasonry, Pike said that "... Masonry is identical with the Ancient Mysteries ..." (Page 624, 28th Degree).
Pike goes on, on Page 329, "... we reproduce the speculations of the Philosophers, the Kabalists, the Mystagogues, and the Gnostics." In other words, whatever the Ancients believed, Freemasonry embraces too.

Masonic author Manly P. Hall describes a two-dimensional organization of Freemasonry. Masonry is comprised of two distinctly different organizations, one visible and one invisible.

"Freemasonry is a fraternity within a fraternity -- an outer organization concealing an inner brotherhood of the elect ... it is necessary to establish the existence of these two separate and yet interdependent orders, the one visible and the other invisible. The visible society is a splendid camaraderie of 'free and accepted' men enjoined to devote themselves to ethical, educational, fraternal, patriotic, and humanitarian concerns. The invisible society is a secret and most August [of majestic dignity, grandeur'] fraternity whose members are dedicated to the service of a mysterious arcannum arcandrum [a secret, a mystery]." [Hall, Lectures on Ancient Philosophy, p. 433]

Many well-meaning men are members of this visible society with no knowledge whatsoever of the inner invisible society.
Albert Pike justifies this by saying: "Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries, Hermeticism, and Alchemy, conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be mislead; to conceal the Truth, which it calls light, and draw them away from it." [Morals and Dogma, p. 104-5, 3rd Degree]

What does Albert Pike mean by "the Truth"?
In his book— "Masonry, Beyond The Light", (pg 60-61) William Schnoebelen quoted Pike as follows: "The Masonic Religion should be, by all of us initiates of the high degree, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine. If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay whose deeds prove his cruelty, perfidy, and hatred ... calumniate him? ... Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also god. ..." (Pls note capital "G" for Lucifer and small letter "g" for God by Pike!!!)
Are freemasons Christians? Over to you.

What is God saying to the freemason?
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Cor. 6:17-18
