What dangers lurk in technology’s ubiquitous and unrelenting encroachment in our lives? What are the perilous spiritual implications of artificial intelligence, bioengineering, facial recognition, and other hi-tech applications we’re accepting into our daily world with little concern? What does the Bible say about it all?

 Full Assurance of Understanding

Please do not misunderstand me. I do not discount the emotional element in conversion of the previous lesson, but I insist it will not do to rely upon it as an evidence that one has been forgiven.

By the grace of God, I am sending out this message to Nigerian Christians to remind us all of our two-fold mandate from heaven. The first is to win souls and the second is to establish the kingdom of God on earth.

The Old Gentleman Had No Peace

Many years ago I was out driving with a kindly old gentleman who was attending the services nightly, but who was far from being sure of his personal salvation. As we drove along I put the definite question to him, “Have you peace with God?”

“THE FAITHFUL 7,000 IN ISRAEL: WHERE ARE THEY?”

Bosun Emmanuel

19th June, 2020

If there is one account in the Bible that Nigerian Christians relish and gleefully share, it is the story of Elijah in the Presence of God at Mount Horeb. In that encounter, Elijah lamented before God that he was the only one left of the prophets in Israel and God had to correct him that He still had 7,000 faithful men who refused to bow the knees to Baal. It was clear that God was very proud of them. These were the remnants in the land. Every country has them. Nigerian Christians are proud of them.

In Exodus 32: 25 – 26, we read, “And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:) Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side?”

In delivering this message, I know that I am facing the possibility of being misunderstood, due to the penchant of some of our brethren who interpret every correction and calling to order of Christians as condemnation. This is not a condemnation of Nigerian Church or Christians but an evaluation of both the spiritual and moral state of the Nigerian Church. No one can deny that things have gone wrong in a country that has the largest Church in Africa. The presence of darkness is simply the absence of light. Why isn’t the light shining?

JANUARY TO JUNE, 2020

In 122 events from January 1 to June 7, 2020, seven hundred and ninety (790) had been viciously killed and another three hundred and thirty-six (336) wounded.  Apart from a case like the attack by Ansaru terrorists ambushing an Emir’s convoy (and killing at least 30 people) on January 14, virtually all the victims were Christians. And 100% of the killers were Muslim Jihadists (either Boko Haram/Ansaru or Fulani herdsmen/Miyetti Allah).

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for International Freedom of Religion or Belief has launched a new report in Westminster today entitled Nigeria – Unfolding Genocide?

The report launch featured speeches from the Chair of the APPG, Jim Shannon MP, Co-Chair Baroness Cox, and Rebecca Sharibu, the mother of Leah Sharibu who was kidnapped by Boko Haram two years ago and has yet to be released.

BACKGROUND

APPG members have been alarmed by the dramatic and escalating violence in and escalating violence in Nigeria characterised as the farmer-herder conflict. This violence has manifested along ideological lines, as the herders are predominantly ethnic Fulani Muslims and the farmers are predominantly Christians. There has been significant debate about what factors are driving and exacerbating this crisis. Therefore the APPG launched a parliamentary inquiry to help develop a nuanced understanding of the drivers of violence and increase parliamentary, public and Governmental interest in the issue. The report is the result of that inquiry.

THE SPIRITUAL CONDITION OF NIGERIAN CHURCH

Please permit me to share with you some information that God gave me over a period of time. I am not a prophet neither do I claim any prophetic calling. However, once in a while, God shows me some things which over time, I have learnt to note. As a matter of fact, I have a notebook where I record revelations and visions of God. (Also included in this article are revelations given to some other brethren also.)

Dear Sirs,

I chose to send this letter to you openly because of the rigors it might take to bring it personally to ALL of you. Please accept my apology for my inability to bring it personally.

A few days ago, on 20th December, 2019 to be specific, I wrote a message to all Nigerian Christians titled NIGERIAN CHURCH ON REBELLION COURSE. It is a follow up of other publications that I have received grace to write to the Church.

Transcript of a presentation delivered by Bosun Emmanuel at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Canaan Land Parish.

My name is Bosun Emmanuel. A little bit about myself and the ministry: I was ordained in the Redeemed Christian Church of God as an Assistant Pastor, as a full pastor and I was the National Coordinator of the RCCG in Germany for many years. The Lord sent us packing from Germany in 2006, and told me to go back home. Of course you wouldn’t want to return to Nigeria if you were living in Germany – you know what I mean. And when we asked, “What are we supposed to do in Nigeria? There is nothing.” He said “You have an assignment, go and meet the information needs of the Church. The Church in Nigeria lacks information.” And the Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge.

Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? Mal. 2: 10

I am writing this treatise as a result of requests made by some Christians to me for enlightenment about what is happening to Christianity in Nigeria, and more importantly, what are we going to do? I acknowledge that “we know in part and we prophesy in part”, therefore, I shall be sharing from the “part” that I know, fully conscious that other people may still possess superior revelations. I also wish to acknowledge that I am fully conscious of the risk that I am taking due to the cynicism of some Christians, particularly, some Christian elites who have reduced everything spiritual to politics. It does not matter how logical and sensible the presentation may be, for them it would still be viewed through political lenses, either Church politics or national politics. Therefore I would not be surprised if some people abandon the issues in this write up and commence raising diversionary issues.

If you’re really quiet you can almost hear it: the heartbeats of those around you. People are scared. We try to distract ourselves so we get more information, thinking it will help diminish fears. But instead, fears grow.

So what do we do when we are surrounded by fear? Here are 6 ways to demonstrate faith in the midst of widespread fear:

1. Feed on God’s Truth

Based on request, we seek to clarify as follows:

Christian Social Movement of Nigeria (CSMN) is the SOCIO-POLITICAL arm of the Nigerian Church. It was established and registered at CAC in September 2001 by the FIVE CHURCH GROUPS of the Nigerian Church to coordinate and manage the interest of Christianity on Social and Political issues in the country. It was inaugurated by Prelate Sunday Mbang as the CAN President, ably represented by the then Vice President of CAN, Cardinal Onaiyekan.

*BLACK CHRISTMAS:*

*ISLAMIST INSURGENTS MURDER 11 CHRISTIANS*

The National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF) joins all Christians worldwide to mourn the unwarranted and callous murder of eleven innocent Nigerian Christians on Christmas Day, 2019. These Christians were abducted by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram. According to reports, thirteen men were shown in a video pleading for deliverance while eleven were eventually killed. Two of the captives were released because they are Muslims while the remaining eleven were presumably killed due to their Christian faith. Ten of the Christians were beheaded while the eleventh was shot dead.

The Jury Ministry

This write up will majorly consider and reiterate what God had revealed to me over the past three or so decades He had called me into ministry. For those who have had access to my previous write ups under His Word for Now series will understand the burden God had put into my heart for the nations especially my country Nigeria concerning political, industrial especially the spiritual situation of the country. Many things are happening lately that has spurred me to write this current edition of this series.

Please find below the spiritual condition of the Church as received over a period of time.
Without doubt, this should have gone quietly to Church leaders but the relevant leaders do not appreciate such admonition.
It is not too late to return to God and correct the errors responsible for the current distress. God has been warning for years but Christians were not listening.
May the truth set Christianity in Nigeria free.

National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF) has noted the alarm raised by some Muslims, particularly from the northern parts of the country, that a Mosque building was “demolished” by the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike. In a sharply religiously divergent society that Nigeria has become in recent years, such outcry is of tremendous concern to those who understand the implications.

The books of 1 and 2 Peter have closely related themes, holiness and diligence, which this study will examine together.

The Scriptures say holiness is separation. Peter will use several words in his book to give us a fuller picture of holiness: sanctification, undefiled, purified, and a few more.

6 Types of Temptation Christians Face (from Joseph's Life)

Every child of God faces temptation. It’s a given fact. As we look at the scriptures, we see that Esau gave up his birthright for stew, Ananias and Sapphira wrecked their lives over money, Samson lost his anointing because of a lady, Saul lost his Kingship because of cattle, and the Prophet Elisha’s servant Gehazi lost his calling because of silver and clothes!

Streams in the Desert -

He went out, not knowing whither he went (Hebrews 11:8).

It is faith without sight. When we can see, it is not faith, but reasoning. In crossing the Atlantic we observed this very principle of faith. We saw no path upon the sea, nor sign of the shore. And yet day by day we were marking our path upon the chart as exactly as if there had followed us a great chalk line upon the sea. And when we came within twenty miles of land, we knew where we were as exactly as if we had seen it all three thousand miles ahead
