PREAMBLE

This paper shall be divided into two sections:

1. Understanding Islam
2. The plans of Islam for Nigeria and Africa

UNDERSTANDING ISLAM

In approaching Islam, we need to bear in mind that we are dealing with something more than religion. Islam is also more than just a political system or “a way of life”, as many Muslims would want us to believe unmindful that other religions are also ways of life. According to Bible prophecies delivered even before Islam started, Islam is actually an empire, a world ruler in the category of Egypt, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. It is only with this understanding that we are able to appreciate the mortal danger that Islam poses to the world in general and in particular God’s people which in this case are Israel and the Church.

We shall commence this discourse from the book of prophet Daniel 2: 36 – 43. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that no one but Daniel could interpret. When Daniel was summoned, he told Nebuchadnezzar,

“This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.

37             Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.

38             And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

39             And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

40             And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

41             And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42             And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

43             And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.”

The Bible in Daniel 2 identified the “head of gold” as Babylon while in Daniel 8: 20 -21, in a different revelation, Medo-Persia and Greece were identified as the two succeeding empires. However, the Bible did not directly identify the empire that is the legs of iron and the feet mixed of iron and clay. Consequently, there has been controversy on the identity of the empire that is the legs of iron. Many Bible translators ascribe the legs of iron to Roman Empire. Much of Church history has held on to Roman Empire as the leg of iron and this is one of the reasons the Church has been unable to respond appropriately to the threat posed by militant Islam. While the Church is pursuing a non-existing Roman empire in the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, the real leg of iron, which is the Islamic Caliphate was operating unchallenged. The Church is yet to come to terms with Islam as purely a militant empire operating with the mentality of conquerors and empire builders of old but garbed in religious robes. Despite witnessing countless violent militant attacks in the name of Islam, most Christians still hold on to Islam as “religion of peace”. From Biblical perspective, the Caliphate is not a religion but a political empire.

The Islamic Caliphate is simply the historical Islamic Government or empire, which began with the Rashidun Caliphate in 632 AD, shortly after the death of Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, and culminated in the Ottoman Empire, which officially came to an end in 1923.[i] It is the characteristics of this Caliphate Empire that we need to understand, primarily from a Biblical perspective through which God has revealed the truth to the human race.

Daniel 2: 40 explain the peculiar characteristic of the Caliphate as follows: “Then there will be a fourth kingdom, one strong like iron. Just like iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything, and as iron breaks in pieces all of these metals, so it will break in pieces and crush the others.” (NET)

Daniel 7: 23 repeat this description of the fourth beast in this way, “… The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.” This is exactly what Islam is doing worldwide.

Daniel 7: 7 gives additional description as follows: “Then in my vision that night, I saw a fourth beast – terrifying, dreadful, and very strong. It devoured and crushed its victims with huge iron teeth and trampled their remains beneath its feet. It was different from any of the other beasts, and it had ten horns.”

It should be borne in mind that the revelation given to Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2 was repeated in Daniel 7, and Revelation 17 using different images. In all these revelations, God was showing ahead of time the various rulers of the Gentiles that will contend with God’s people and the characteristic of each. As pointed out earlier, the identity of the “legs of iron” was concealed leading to controversy about its true identity. For much of Church age, most Bible Scholars have taught that the “legs of iron” represent the Roman Empire. However, this interpretation is neither consistent with Scriptures nor within the context in which the dream of Nebuchadnezzar was situated.

The Bible makes clear that there would be eight Gentile rulers before the Messianic kingdom shall be set up. These empires are:

1. Egyptian
2. Assyrian
3. Babylonian
4. Medo-Persian
5. Grecian
6. Roman
7. Caliphate
8. Revived Caliphate

In various revelations, God depicts these kingdoms as various objects and beings. As of the time the dream was given to king Nebuchadnezzar, two of the kingdoms had lapsed. These two were the Egyptian and Assyrian empires. Therefore, the dream of Nebuchadnezzar started with Babylon. Richardson prepared a table of these revelations based on Nebuchadnezzar’s vision as follows:

THE LEGS OF IRON: ROME OR CALIPHATE?

This clarification is crucial in view of the traditional view held in the Church which needs to be corrected.

1. The character of the legs of iron both in prophecy and in real life. The fourth beast cannot be Roman Empire which even though it was tough and brutal, was not destructive. In fact, Roman Empire brought development and civilization to areas it conquered. Rome did not destroy local cultures but assimilated them and ensure that access was opened up through its massive road construction projects. This led to the saying, “all roads lead to Rome”. Unlike the fourth beast which “…devoured and crushed its victims with huge iron teeth and trampled their remains beneath its feet”, Roman empire gave room for foreign religions and cultures to thrive within its realm. It did not destroy the Grecian civilization but assimilated it and Rome gave room for Christianity to become a world religion. This is entirely the opposite of Islam. Wherever Islam went, it destroyed local religion, culture and forced Arabic language on its victims.
2. While Rome spread to the West, Islam basically started from the East and took root there. Islam sprang from the vicinity of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia and the kingdom of Alexander the Great away from Greece. Thus, in situating the prophecy, the leg of iron fitted more in the area of the other empires that the fourth beast would subsume. As Daniel 2: 40 reveals, it would crush all the “others”. All the territories of the world empires before the “leg of iron” are now part of the Islamic empire. From Egypt to Iraq, to Iran and to Turkey, they are all in the Caliphate. Their local cultures and religions have been destroyed and Islam has become both culture and religion while Arabic has replaced local languages.
3. Perhaps and more importantly is the Aramaic name given to the mixed iron and clay of the feet of Nebuchadenezzar’s vision of the image. “And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” Dan. 2: 43 The word “mixed” is the Hebrew word “ereb” which is the Aramaic word “arab”. The last world power that would resist Christ, according to the prophecy of Daniel, is “ARAB”. The current day Arabs are mixed people originating from descendants of Ishmael, Esau, Lot, Abraham’s children through Keturah, as well as the original settlers in the desert all of them in perpetual hostility to Israel and whatsoever is associated with Israel, which in this case, is the Church. The glue holding them together is the satanic inspired hatred they have for Israel and the Church of Jesus Christ. That is why their doctrine is “doctrine of hate”.
4. The identity of Gog in Ezekiel 38 which was wrongly ascribed to Russia also points at Islam. Of the eight locations identified with Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38, five of them are located in Turkey, an Islamic nation while the remaining three are also Islamic nations.

   The Gog and Magog revelation points at the forces of the antichrist that will oppose Christ at the battle of Armageddon. According to Walid Shoebat, “from this prophecy (Ezekiel 38), we know that among the specific nations that will be part of the Antichrist’s ten-nation coalition are: Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Syria and Libya. Many other nations will also submit or fall to the Antichrist, … Through several other prophecies, we know that Lebanon and the Palestinian territories will be involved as well. With Sudan, we could also see Somalia as part of the coalition. Several Central Asian states are likely, such as Afghanistan or Pakistan. With Libya, we could also see other North African nations involved – Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, etc. Along with Turkey, we could also see the Turkic nations such as Russia: Turkmenistsan, Krygistan, Uzbekistan, etc. But for now, we will stick only with the nations that we are clearly presented with in the Gog/Magog prophecy: Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, and Turkey.”
5. Mystery Babylon of Revelation 17 is identified as Saudi Arabia. The woman that John was shown was in the desert. Rev. 17: 3 – John was carried in the spirit into the “desert” to see the woman described as “Mystery Babylon”. A similar prophecy in Is. 21 makes multiple reference to locations like Kedar, Tema, Dedan and Dumah. All these are surrounding areas of Saudi Arabia. The city Saudi has direct links with Babylon by Nabonidus who extended Babylon to Yathrib (Medina).
6. All the nations that will fight Christ at the battle of Armageddon are Muslim nations. Teman, Dedan, Cush, Midian, Moab and so on, are the present day Islamic nations. Joel 3: 2-4; Jer. 25: 15, 19-26, 29; is. 63: 1-4; Hab. 3: 3-7
7. The head of the beast that was mortally wounded and was healed could only be the Caliphate which was dissolved by Kermal Atarturk in 1924 and revived as ISIS a few years ago. Rev. 13: 1-10 describes the Caliphate
8. There is a controversy amongst Bible scholars that Daniel 9: 26 prophesied that “the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;” This statement has been interpreted by many to imply that since the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, the Antichrist would come from revived Roman empire. This view is generally held by many Bible scholars. However, the view overlooked the fact that though it was the Roman army, but the “people” (Heb. am) refers to ethnic, people, nation. Shoebat and Richardson agree that the “people” were local recruits from Middle East under the command of a Roman General. Shoebat explains further, “we saw that the primary group that carried out this destruction (of the temple) was the tenth legion of the Roman army (Legion X Fretensis), which was stationed in Antioch. Antioch was also the area from which the tenth legion drew most of its recruits. These soldiers were primarily Syrians and Arabs. Today, Antioch is located within the borders of Turkey, on the southeastern corner of Turkey near Syria. As such, this is yet another witness to the notion that the Antichrist would come from the region of modern Turkey.”

WHERE IS THE ANTICHRIST COMING FROM?

Another area of controversy in the Church is the identity of the Antichrist. Those who hold to a Roman Empire as the fourth kingdom in the dream of Nebuchadnezzar have seen various people as the Antichrist. These include Nero, Henry Kissinger, Hitler, Mikhail Gorbachev, and so on. While some of these characters were anti-Christ, “the Antichrist”, according to Bible prophecy is not Caucasian.

According to Daniel 8, the Antichrist would emerge at the end of the age from the Grecian Empire. After the death of Alexander the Great, his empire was divided amongst his four Generals and represent the present day nations of Turkey, Syria, Egypt, and of course, Greece.

Looking at these nations today, three of them appear to be in no condition to provide a world ruler that would broker peace between Israel and the Arab world. Greece is economically bankrupt and it is struggling to remain afloat. Syria has been devastated by an internecine war that would take years for the country to recover. Egypt went through two revolutions (Arab Spring) in a decade and the current military government is watching its shadow under the threat of the Islamic Brotherhood. This leaves the nation of Turkey.

Turkey is a nation that should be keenly observed due to its geographical location and its position in prophecy. Gog of Magog (Ezekiel 38) is identified to come from Turkey. Gog is identified as the leader of the coalition that would invade Israel at the end of the age. As pointed out earlier, five of the locations mentioned in the Gog and Magog prophecy are located in Turkey.

This again, points to an Islamic Antichrist. This being the case, the Caliphate is building a worldwide coalition to fight Jesus Christ.

THE MORTAL WOUND ON THE HEAD OF THE CALIPHATE

The Ottoman Empire which was the Caliphate, with base in Istanbul, Turkey, was dismantled by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in 1924. Ataturk adopted Western civilization to enable Turkey develop. With this decision, the Caliphate ceased to exist. This conforms to Bible prophecy which predicted that it would suffer “a mortal wound” which shall be healed.

Conservative Muslims saw the dissolution of the Caliphate as betrayal of Islam and made moves to reverse it. In 1928, in Ismaila, Egypt, Hassan Al Banna led a group of Islamic fundamentalists to form the Islamic Brotherhood. The Brotherhood was established in response to the dissolution of the Caliphate in Turkey in 1924.

The founders of the Brotherhood had two objectives:

1. To implement Sharia worldwide
2. To re-establish the global Islamic state known as the Caliphate

At inception, the creed of the Brotherhood is: “Allah is our objective; the Koran is our law; the Prophet is our leader; jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.” 

The Islamic terror groups as well as organizations working worldwide for the revival of the Caliphate are members of the Islamic Brotherhood. These organizations work through violent jihad through and stealth jihad through dissimulation or Taqiyya. Those they cannot confront with violence, they weaken and compromise through stealth or civilization jihad.

It is not clear if Hassan Al Banna and his group were aware that in forming the Islamic Brotherhood, they were fulfilling prophecy and laying the foundation for the structure the Antichrist will use when he appears at the end of the age. Through the Islamic Brotherhood, an international coalition is being built for the Antichrist who is also identified as the Islamic Mahdi, the “savior” Muslims are expecting at the end of the age. It is interesting to observe that the Antichrist the Bible foretold is the “savior” the Muslims are expecting.

The coalition is getting stronger day by day. Already, apart from the Islamic nations united by Islamic religion and automatic members of the coalition, many nations in Europe are in the coalition. Sweden is officially the first European Islamic nation. United States of America nearly fell headlong into the coalition if not for the election of President Donald Trump. How far the Trump presidency would hold the Antichrist at bay remains to be seen with the malevolent conspiracy of the far Left to undermine his Presidency and discredit everything he does.

The attention of the Islamic coalition is also focused on Africa with Nigeria as the prime target. According to Strategy Meeting of OIC in London in 1983, Islamists have the goal of transforming Africa into an Islamic continent. To achieve this goal, seven nations have been earmarked for primary Islamization. These are: Nigeria, Kenya, Liberia, Cote d’Ivore, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa.

 

WHY ARE CHRISTIANS EASILY DISARMED?

Apart from violence and intimidation, there are two doctrines in Islam that most Christians seem not aware of. These are “Kitman” and “Taqiyya”. Kitman “is a command to deliberately conceal one’s beliefs. It is a particular form of lying practiced primarily by Shi’ites and to a lesser degree by Sunnis. Imam Ja’far Sadiq, the sixth Imam of Shi’a Islam articulates this doctrine; ‘One who exposes something from our religion is like one who intentionally kills us’ and ‘You belong to a religion that whosoever conceals it, Allah will honor him and whosoever reveals it, Allah will disgrace him’.

Taqiyya is virtually the same. A Shi’ite Encyclopedia describes Taqiyya as ‘concealing or disguising one’s beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies at a time of eminent danger, whether now or later in time, to save oneself from physical and/or mental injury. A one-word translation would be ‘Dissimulation”.

Sunni Muslims argue that Kitman and Taqiyya as strictly a Shi’a doctrine. Yet, Ibn Abbas, the most renowned and trusted narrator of Islamic tradition in the sight of the Sunnis upholds the practice by Sunnis. ‘Taqiyya is (merely) the uttering of the tongue, while the heart is comfortable with faith.’ ‘Nine-tenths of (the Islamic) religion is Taqiyyah (dissimulation), hence one who does not dissimulate has no religion.’ (Al-Kafi vol. 9 p. 110”)

Many Christians are yet to learn of the doctrine of dissimulation that whatever they are told should be taken as the exact opposite of the truth. Consequently, “Islam is peace” is only understood when read in the opposite. Any honest observer should simply ask that with the result on the ground, all over the world, which one is consistent with the religion of Islam, the statement of peace or its opposite?

DWELLERS ON EARTH SHALL WORSHIP HIM …

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Rev. 13: 7-8

Of all the world empires, none would be as destructive as the fourth one which we now identify as the Islamic Caliphate. It would trample and crush everything that was before it. If we look at current global map, Islam has completely crushed, trampled and taken over territories of all the former empires before it. Starting from Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and all the territories of Greece which are today’s Turkey, Syria and Egypt, are completely Islamized. Greece itself in the West appears to be untouched for many years but the current Islamic invasion of Europe may soon change that.

Not only has Islam taken over their geographical boundaries, it has also taken over their cultures. Wherever Islam goes, it takes over geographically and culturally. This is the crucial lesson that Nigerian Christians are yet to understand that they are not dealing with a religion but a territorial consuming empire whose prophetic mandate is to crush, trample, and completely eradicate whatever it meets on the ground.

Today in the ancient heartland of the early Church, the Christian community is a struggling minority, often fighting for its very survival. While the cities of Antioch, Alexandria, and Jerusalem were once the thriving capitals and strongholds of the Church, today the indigenous Christian communities there are a shadow of what they once were.

The lesson Christian leaders need to learn, and learn quickly, is that Islam is more than a religion. Therefore, to effectively respond to the threat posed by Islam, the Church should realize it is at war and a military commander is required to lead the Church. If the Church is unable to find a Clergy that has Military background, then whoever is elected the next President of CAN should have a senior Military Officer as a close adviser. Handing over the leadership of the Church to a Clergy that has no experience in warfare is suicidal. There is a war going on. To confirm this assertion, when the Muslims were going to appoint the current Sultan of Sokoto, they did not choose an Islamic Cleric or a traditional ruler. They chose a Military General, an Intelligence Officer, as the Sultan. They understood what they were about to do in Nigeria.

God responded by choosing a militant Pastor who matched them force for force and did not yield any ground. When his tenure ended, God positioned a former Military Officer as the next President of CAN but the Clergy did not understand the move of God. They rejected him in favor of an inexperienced Church Administrator. According to the counsel of the National Christian Elders Forum, TEKAN/ECWA Bloc and OAIC Bloc should have provided the President and Vice President of CAN in the last CAN election to ensure equity and balance in holding the Office of the President of CAN. If that arrangement had been permitted to work, the candidate of OAIC, Professor Otubu would probably have emerged as the President of CAN. Many people may not be aware that Professor Otubu used to be a Military Officer in the class of General Obasanjo. As a matter of fact, it was General Obasanjo and Professor Otubu who took over the 3rd Marine Commando from then Colonel Benjamin Adekunle during the Civil War. God was already positioning a man with Military experience to lead the Church and counter the forces of the Caliphate. Unfortunately, Church leaders did not understand the working of God.

As pointed out earlier, and repeated here for emphasis, Islam is primarily an empire bent on worldwide conquest. Already, the Caliphate is spreading all over the world and its tentacles have reached into many nations of the world. For example, whenever Islamic terrorists cause destruction and mayhem, notable media like CNN, BBC, ABC, Washington Post, and so on tend to downplay the impact of the destruction. As a matter of fact, they go as far as denying that the jihadists are Muslims. However, the reverse is the case if any one identified as Christian should do anything wrong. They would blast the news all over the world.

A very good example was the murder of 49 Muslims by a deranged white supremacist in New Zealand in early 2019. All the major media and governments of the world expressed outrage and sympathy poured out to the Muslims. The Prime Minister of New Zealand did everything but convert to Islam in an attempt to show solidarity with Muslims. Meanwhile, within the same period, 129 Christians were killed in Nigeria by Fulani herdsmen and the world was quiet as if nothing happened.

After the massacre of Muslims in New Zealand, Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton sent condolence messages to “Muslims”. However, after a worse occurrence in Sri Lanka during Easter celebrations in which over 350 Christians were murdered by Muslim suicide bombers, both persons sent condolences to “Easter worshippers”. Why could they not mention the title “Christians”?

What is behind the shift in the attitude of traditional “Christian nations” like Britain, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain and others that openly reverence Islam and denigrate Christianity? Are the people of these nations and their leaders Muslims? No, they are not Muslims but they are citizens of the Caliphate. We need to understand that CNN, BBC, ABC, Washington Post, United Nations, and other world power understand that the emerging world power is not China but the Caliphate. That is the empire that is going to rule the world in the last days and ultimately produce the Antichrist.

Even in Nigeria, we observe that some Christian leaders are working against the interest of the Church in favor of Islam. Have those Christian leaders converted to Islam? The answer is no, but they are citizens of the Caliphate. There is a group of Caliphate Officials referred to as “Mukharabat”. These are Caliphate spies. There are millions of them in Nigeria, recruited from retired civil servants in the Presidency, Civil Service, Judiciary, professional organizations and the Church. Most of them are called Christians but they are citizens of a new empire called the Caliphate. This is the eighth world power; the revived Caliphate that was “mortally wounded” in 1924 but came back to life in June 2014.

Because the Caliphate aims at worldwide dominion, the spirit behind it understands that Christianity is also a kingdom based religion that was established to dominate the whole world. Therefore, at every available opportunity, Islam would attack Christians. Particularly in this season when this age is rushing to an end, there is urgency in the Caliphate that Christianity should be decimated so that Islam alone shall remain the only world power. This is the reason for the escalation of Islamic attacks all over the world. Unfortunately, most Christians have lost the vision of the kingdom of God. Due to greed and covetousness of Church leaders, the focus of the average Christian has been shifted from the kingdom of God to the materials things of earth. Very few Churches preach the gospel of the kingdom with its conditions of repentance and righteousness. Consequently, the triumphant Church of Christ is suffering defeat and marginalization.

While the previous world rulers used to succeed each other through conquest, no world power will be able to defeat the Caliphate, now that it has been revived. All the Christians are required to do is to hold fort until Christ returns. According to the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, only Christ the Rock shall be able to defeat the Caliphate at the battle of Armageddon. Dan. 2: 34-35

DEMOCRACY AND ISLAM

Currently, many Nigerian Christians are disturbed by the flagrant violation of democratic norms in the country. What many do not understand is that under Islam, Democracy is considered a “man-made” law and as such, Muslims are not obliged to conform to it. Democracy, with its demand of “human right” is scorned by Islam. Under Islam, man has no right as all rights belong to Allah. Therefore, election rigging, violation of Electoral Acts, election violence and other acts undermining freedom of choice are considered normal under Sharia. If Christians want Democracy to prevail in Nigeria, they would have to devise means to ensure greater compliance with laws and regulations by all the political actors. Alas, with the Muslims virtually in charge of the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary, achieving this objective would require a miracle.

• Democracy and Islam: Any system of man-made law is considered illicit under Islamic law, for whose adherents Allah already has provided the only law permitted, sharia. Islam and democracy can never co-exist in harmony.
• “And if any fail to judge by the light of what Allah has revealed, they are no better than unbelievers.” (Q 5:47)
• “Sovereignty in Islam is the prerogative of Almighty Allah alone. He is the absolute arbiter of values and it is His will that determines good and evil, right and wrong.” (Mohammed Hashim Kamali, Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, 3d rev. ed., (Cambridge, UK: The Islamic Text Society, 2003), 8.)
• “The shariah cannot be amended to conform to changing human values and standards. Rather, it is the absolute norm to which all human values and conduct must conform.” (Muslim Brotherhood ‘spiritual leader’ Yousef al-Qaradawi)”
• Some Christians do not know for sure who some Christians are especially when one tenet of Islam is Taqiyya which enables a Muslim to say I am a “Christian” when, in fact, he is a Muslim. It is permissible in Islam for a Muslim to lie, especially to non-Muslims, to safeguard himself personally or to protect Islam.
• Let not the believers take the disbelievers as friends instead of the believers, and whoever does that, will never be helped by Allah in any way, unless you indeed fear a danger from them. And Allah warns you against Himself, and to Allah is the final return. (Q 3:28)
• Unless you indeed fear a danger from them’ meaning, except those believers who, in some areas or times, fear for their safety from the disbelievers. In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly… ‘We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Vol 2, 141)
• Mohammed said, ‘War is deceit’.
• He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar.

These are tenets not only in political Islam but also moderate Islam and constitute a dilemma for Christians when some of their political and religious leaders are more Muslim than some Chief Imams.

THE CHARACTER OF ISLAM

The following are some of the dominant character of Islam that Christians should be aware of:

1. Islamic Supremacy: belief that Islam is superior to every other culture, faith, government, and society and that it is ordained by Allah to conquer and dominate them: “And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers.” (Q 3:85):

• “Ye are the best of Peoples, evolved for mankind.” (Q 3:110)
• Non-Muslims are “the most vile of created beings” (Q 98:6)
• Be “merciful to one another, but ruthless to the unbelievers” (Q 48:29)
• “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.” (Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood)
• “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” (Omar Ahmad, Council on American Islamic Relations co-founder/Board Chairman, 1998)

1. Jihad: Jihad is warfare to spread Islam:

• “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war…” (Q 9:5)
• “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, not hold that forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Q 9:29)
• “So fight them until there is no more fitna and all submit to the religion of Allah alone.” (Q 8:39)
• “I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Mohammed is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay the zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah” (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim – agreed upon – as cited in ‘Umdat al-Salik o9.1 Jihad)
• “Jihad means to wage war against non-Muslims and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada, signifying warfare to establish the religion.” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o9.0, Jihad)

• “Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled or incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world....But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world….Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all!
• “Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill them [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender [to the enemy]? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for the Holy Warriors! There are hundreds of other [Qur'anic] psalms and Hadiths [sayings of the Prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all this mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” (Ayatollah Khomeini as quoted by Amir Taheri.70)

1. Lying/Taqiyya: It is permissible for a Muslim to lie, especially to non-Muslims, to safeguard himself personally or to protect Islam.

A LESSON FROM ISRAEL

Both the nation of Israel and Nigerian Christians serve and worship the same God. That is where the similarity between both nations ends. When it comes to dealing with Islam, Nigerian Christians adopt supplication and prayers while Israel adopts warfare and military intelligence. While Nigerian Christians pray to the God of Israel for protection, the nation of Israel is building one of the most potent and formidable military defence systems in the world. Israel is not handling Islam with sacrifices and rituals but with militancy and preemptive strikes. This way, Israel survives even though it is surrounded by malevolent Islamic nations.

Am I saying that the Church should stop praying? Not at all. However, prayer should not be turned into substitute for common sense. “Faith without works is dead”. When a student goes to school, he prays to succeed in the examinations. That is normal for any God believing student. However, after praying, the student studies hard. That should be the attitude of the Nigerian Church to the invasion of the Caliphate. After prayers, build structures to defend Christians and ensure survival of the faith.

The reason for the militant stance of Israel is due to the understanding of the Israelis that Islam has little or nothing to do with religion. It is a world power that is bent on world conquest. To the Caliphate, Islam as religion is a manipulative tool to drive an Arab world domination and expansionist agenda. Those who doubt this assertion should simply observe how the Caliphate conquered Europe without firing one bullet!

The Caliphate uses religion to disarm and then destroy unsuspecting nations. Consequently, Israel responds to Islam with military Generals and well trained soldiers while Nigerian Christians respond with greedy and covetous Clergy that are willing to compromise the security and safety of the Church so long as their pocket is well lined.

It is very pathetic to see Nigerian Clergy holding religious meetings with the Muslims while ignoring the fact that many of such meetings held in the past did not produce peace. The Treaty of Hudaibiyah should be studied by Christian leaders in Nigeria in order to understand how Islam considers peace accords with adversaries. Islam respects peace treaties while it is weak in an environment thereby giving it time to consolidate and gather strength. Once it is persuaded that it is sufficiently strong to launch an offensive, it breaks the treaty. That is Hudaibiyah.

Intelligence reports reaching the Church since the 80s indicated that Muslims were training insurgents both within and outside the country. I had the privilege of interviewing late Rev. Seidu Dogo in Kaduna in 2013 during the period I was producing Martyrs CRY! magazine for Voice of Christian Martyrs. Late Rev. Dogo informed me that in 1987, there were Islamic insurgent training camps discovered between Zaria and Kaduna and a multinational insurgent training camp in Jigawa State. The information was passed to security officials but the Government did not take any action.

Even if the Government did not respond, for obvious reasons, what stopped Christian leaders from responding? Apart from these training camps within Nigeria, Christian leaders were also aware that Nigerian Muslims were taken to Sudan, Mali, including other Middle Eastern Islamic countries for training. Since this knowledge was available, nothing stopped Christian leaders from sending Christian youths to Israel for training in counter-insurgency. Unfortunately, the Church leaders did nothing then, and eleven years after Boko Haram commenced attacks in Nigeria, the Church leaders still have done NOTHING. This is nothing but carelessness and irresponsibility.

In October 1988, the Christian Council of South Africa wrote to heads of Nigerian Churches and Christian missions. The letter warned of the imminent plan to disrupt Nigeria. It spoke of “proposed plot by northern Moslems and their Arab OIC supporters to destroy churches carry out mass murder of Christians in Nigeria (with more intensity in the northern States of Nigeria.” The letter went further to state, “it is worthy of note to inform you that all highly placed Muslim members of the Armed Forces Ruling Council of Nigeria are in support of these plans by Arab and OIC backed northern Moslems to destroy Christianity in Nigeria, as they wish to formally declare an Islamic Republic early next year (1989), a course to which they are irrevocably committed.”[ix] We should remember that the Communiqué, tagged Abuja Declarations 1989, was issued in the year under reference.

I was at a Christian Conference where I shared this information and an elderly man in the crowd interrupted by shouting, “It is true, it is true; I personally made lots of photocopy of the letter and took it to many Church leaders. They did not answer me.”

If Nigerian Christians are serious about confronting and containing the threat of the Caliphate, the next President of CAN should be a retired Military General or at the very least, someone who understands the nature of the war that is going on and fortifies himself with military intelligence and personnel. Laity professionals should be given opportunities to bring their expertise into serving the Church. The Association is Christian Association and not Clergy Association. Leaders should be appointed to solve problems not to sustain status quo.

I presented a paper in June last year (2018) at an annual Conference of Catholic Men’s Guild in Lagos and advocated that CAN should be reorganized. I insisted that since the Association is Christian Association, the monopoly of the Clergy in the management should be broken. It is not Clergy Association. Laity Professionals should be made Officials of CAN. The threat facing Christianity in Nigeria cannot be handled solely by the Clergy whose training is mainly Theology.

Nigerian Christians should remember that a triumphant Church is a militant Church. Christ established His Church as an institution of spiritual violence to destroy the gates of hell. If the Church is not militant, it cannot be triumphant. The Nigerian Church is pursuing a pacifist agenda as response to a brutal military expedition programmed to “crush, trample, break in pieces and devour its victims”. A Muslim, called Imam of Peace, Mohammad Tawhidi, said recently that a German newspaper published an exhaustive study of all Islamic terror attacks around the world since the September 11, 2001, strikes on America. According to the German newspaper “Die Welt” Islamic extremists have carried out 31,211 attacks in the last 18 years. (That is an average of 1,734 attacks per annum.) Those attacks have killed 146,811 people around the world. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Church keeps pursuing “dialogue” to the point of cowardice. One gets the uncomfortable feeling that the Church leaders understand the danger but are too cowardly to confront it. Erroneously, the current class of Christian leaders assumes that if they remain peaceful and accommodating, they would placate Islam and obtain peaceful coexistence. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If Europeans of old had not contended with Islam militarily, Europe would have been Islamized hundreds of years ago.

The delivery of Vienna, Austria, under Count Niklas Salm in 1529 marked the temporary termination of the Ottoman Empire expansion into Western Europe. According to history, the resistance in Austria was a combination of “prayers and physical battle”. God responded with heavy rain falls and “unseasonably heavy snowfalls” in October 1529 to turn Islam back.

Under its doctrine of “Fitnah”(constant pressure on the enemy), Islam invaded Austria again in 1683 under Kara Mustapha Pasha, the Turkish Ottoman leader. The Pasha led an Ottoman force of 140,000 against Vienna but was defeated by a much smaller force of 30,000 Polish-Lithuanian and 11,000 Austrian and Prussian troops. The victory at Vienna saved Europe from Islam for a second time after the victory of Charles Martel in 732. King Jan Sobieski of Poland said that his purpose for going to Vienna was “to proceed to the Holy War, and with God’s help to give back the old freedom to besieged Vienna, and thereby help wavering Christendom.”

Having observed that military might would not capture Europe, the Caliphate changed tactic and deployed civilization/stealth Jihad. Europe was caught napping.

The European Christians of old combined prayers with military resistance. The Nigerian Church is adopting the wrong strategy in responding to the Caliphate. You must demonstrate that you are committed to peace by building structures to enforce it. Cheap money has made the Nigerian Church lazy and indulgent. Even within its ranks, it finds it difficult to confront sin and unrighteousness.

It is too late to say, “we do not want trouble”. Trouble has arrived and the Church has to deal with it physically and spiritually. A man must do what a man must do.

 

PART 2

 

THE PLAN OF ISLAM FOR NIGERIA AND AFRICA

As stated above, the plan of Islam is to turn Nigeria into an Islamic nation as precursor to transforming entire Africa into Islamic continent. If this Islamic goal had any altruistic motive behind it, it would not have been sufficiently worrisome, but the malevolent attitude of Arabs to Black Africans for over a thousand years sends worrisome signals that this plan must not succeed.

For hundreds of years, Arabs used to prey on Black Africa for slaves. Even before the trans-Atlantic slave trade commenced, Arabs treated Africa as hunting ground for slaves. Osama Bin Laden, before his death, explains the Arab’s mindset about the Negro race. In a discussion with the Sudanese-American novelist, Kola Boof, in Morocco in 1996, Osama Bin Laden said, “when next you meet an Arab, you should ask what is the Arabic word for slave, you’ll discover that the words are the same “abeed.”  Which is why, when an Arab looks at a black African, what he sees is a slave.” The Arabic word for slave, “Abd,” became equated with Africans and Blacks with the advent of Islam. This mindset has not changed.

Currently in the news is the brutal treatment meted to African women who went to work as maids in Arab nation. There is a practice in Arab nations called “kafala”. Under this practice, when a house help is recruited from a foreign nation, his employer has the right to seize the passport and all other documents and only release it as his discretion. The state will not interfere irrespective of any inhuman treatment the employer metes to the employee. “Under the ‘Kafala’ system, foreign maids are legally bound to their employer and have limited rights. Employers can take advantage of their position and many women are overworked, underpaid and physically abused.”

The internet is awash with stories of inhuman treatment that is worse than slavery meted to African house maids in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai, and other Arab nations. Officially, Mauritania practices slavery of Black Africans in the 21st Century. If the Arabs should take over Nigeria, under whatever guise, the indigenous ethnic nationalities shall be enslaved on their ancestral land.

In 1962, after the Arab invasion of Sudan, Sudanese General, Hassan Beshir Nasr, said, “We don’t want these Black slaves … what we want is their land.” In the five years between 2003 and 2008, over 300,000 Sudanese Africans were killed, 100,000 abducted and 2.7 million rendered homeless refugees, with their land appropriated by Arabs.

Presently, ignorant Christian leaders are engaged in indiscreet romance with a government that has not hidden its scorn and derision for the Negro race in Nigeria. They do not understand that what is threatening us in not merely a forceful change of religion, but a total loss of liberty and cultural identity. That option of course, is for those who are not eliminated. Both Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen have proven that the life of the Negro race in Nigeria is worthless.

In a nutshell, what is the plan of Islam for Nigeria? It is “eradication” of the Negro race, whether they are Christians or self deceived Muslims amongst the Negro race who thinks of the Arab or Fulani as “brother in Islam”.

The plans of the Islamists for Nigeria are enumerated in the Communiqué titled Abuja Declarations 1989. Salient portion in the document that affect Christianity are as follows:

• "To ensure only Muslims are elected to all political posts of member nations"
• "To eradicate in all its forms and ramifications all non-Muslim religions in member nations (such religions shall include Christianity…)
• "To eradicate in all its forms and ramifications all non-Muslim religions in member nations (such religions shall include Christianity, Ahmadiyya and other tribal modes of worship unacceptable to Muslim)." (the word Christianity is underlined in the declaration)
• "To ensure the ultimate replacement of all western forms of legal and judicial systems with the Sharia in all member nations before then next "Islam in Africa conference."
• "To ensure the appointment of only Muslims into strategic national and international posts of member nations."

Any casual observer would note that the action points above are being implemented by the current Islamist government in power in Nigeria. What is unknown is how far they would go before the slumbering Nigerian Church would wake up.

Does this paper imply that Islam shall cover the earth? The answer is no as some nations even in the Middle East shall escape the tyranny of the antichrist. (Edom ….)Therefore, it is possible for the Christians in Nigeria to escape the crush of the Caliphate. However, certain factors should be taken into consideration for this to happen.

The goal of the Caliphate is to make Nigeria a member of the coalition of nations that will join the Antichrist to fight Jesus Christ at the battle of Armageddon. This will be very painful to the Lord considering the investment Heaven has made into the Church in Nigeria.

 

PROPOSALS

This paper does not discountenance the element of divine intervention to resolve the crisis that has befallen Nigerian Christians. While the need for prayers remains crucial and expedient, there is also the need for Christians to be proactive. Folding the arms while waiting for God to send angels to fight for the Christians would not amount to display of wisdom. Looking at the example of Israel, the Israelis concentrated on building world class military system that keeps the Caliphate at bay. Divine intervention comes in where Israeli military capability proves inadequate.

The Nigerian Church has been acting unwisely since 2008 that Boko Haran launched its attacks, two years after the military Sultan was crowned. After suffering casualties in tens of thousands, Christian leaders still do not sense the urgency to commence practical defensive programs for the Church and for Christian areas. Self defense is legal under the law.

Christian leaders erroneously assume that because they remain peaceful the Caliphate shall eventually peace. This is a naïve and utterly careless assumption. The spirit behind the Caliphate, as described in the various revelations of God in the Bible does not understand “treaty” or “negotiation”. All it wants is conquest and dominion.

Therefore, the following are crucial Christians want to survive the Caliphate invasion:

1. The unity of the Church is indispensable. The current division and acrimony in the Church has to end. It is the first survival strategy.
2. Christian leadership should become more militant. A leader with experience in strategic warfare is needed to manage defensive structures for the Church. As mentioned earlier, even if a Clergy remains the President of CAN, he should surround himself with Christians having military background.
3. There has to be a deliberate program of action to reinforce the Middle Belt region in Nigeria. If the Middle Belt should collapse under the pressure of the Caliphate, they would have captured more than half the land mass of Nigeria and they would “dig in”. Under the principle of “Fitnah” they would wear the rest of the country out.
4. Now is the time for the Christians to promote and defend Democracy. It was most unwise for some Christian leaders to give support to a political party that is evidently in support of the Caliphate agenda in Nigeria. Democracy shall greatly slow down and weaken the aggressiveness of the Caliphate forces.
5. Apart from CAN, Christian leaders have to sit down and deliberately agree on other bodies that will fulfill critical functions in the Body of Christ. The existing ones should be given room to operate while all the ones proposed in the Strategy Document which the current CAN Officials ignored should be established. If the Nigerian Church does not embark on urgent defensive actions, it would soon become the next victim of the Caliphate.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, in order to survive the onslaught of the eight world empire, the Caliphate, Christians must return to the gospel of the kingdom. As shown in the vision of Nebuchadnezzar, all the world powers were destroyed by a Rock that was cut, but not by human hands. Christ has prevailed over all the kingdoms of the world and only those who belong to His kingdom shall share in His victory. The current pre-occupation of the Church will blessings and prosperity is opposed to true Christianity. The Caliphate that is earthly is using the message of heaven to recruit followers and soldiers while Christian who are sons of the kingdom of God are busy pursuing vanity.

I will share a story with us in rounding up to buttress the points above. Bro. Pade Tokun, a Christian missionary, shared a story in OCCUPY Magazine of an incident on board a flight. He was seated beside a Lebanese Muslim and sought to share the message of salvation with the man. He was surprised that the man was interested, unlike many Muslims are wont to be. The Lebanese told the surprised missionary that at a point in his life, he felt like leaving Islam and converting to Christianity. To know more about Christianity, he started listening to many Christian preachers on cable TV. After a period of time, he lost interest in Christianity and remained in Islam.

The missionary was surprised and asked, “why?”

“Ah!” responded the Lebanese triumphantly, “while Islam teaches people how to make heaven, Christianity teaches them how to get the best in this life.”

This is the unfortunate narrative of modern day Christianity that has resulted in defeat upon defeat for the Church worldwide and in particular, in Nigeria. If this unfortunate narrative is to change and the Church is to become triumphant over the Caliphate, Christians must return to the message of the kingdom. It is only when Christians practice Christianity the way Christ designed it that the Church can have victory over the Caliphate, the eighth world power.
