The times in the book of Esther were a period of warfare, violence, and bloodshed. In those times, beautiful women were play-things in the hands of the chauvinistic kings, princes, and nobles. They were like artifacts to be collected, kept, and disposed of when no longer needed!
Yet, there is a display of the power of the feminine spirit, which reflects love, affection, and tender care as it shows in motherhood. Contrary to popular opinion that God does not reckon with women because she led Adam to sin. God loves and trusts women more than men especially when it comes to battles that need patience, diligence, and longsuffering to win instead of guns and bombs.
God sometimes pull women from obscurity and uses them when situations get too complicated, too bloody, or too brutal in the hands of arrogant men. For example - The Wise Woman of Abel 2 Samuel 20:16 and Abigail in 1 Samuel chapter 25
Women have always been the golden vessels of honour that God seldom uses, they were only brought in by God at a set time for a set purpose, to release the feminine Spirit (motherhood) and bring peace to situations where men’s guns and arrows have failed.
Women have greater capacity than men to bear pains and carry burdens and even when wrapped up in a lot of crises, they can stand and pray where men are crushed.
With their tears, they get relief, patience, and attention. Wisdom and determination are the product of tears and patience. Many have wrought great victories and did great exploits for God: The combined team of Deborah and Jael in Judges 4 exhibited great and daring bravery, and even where the Solider man (warrior) panicked, they brought the final victory to Israel! With Naomi’s kindness, and Ruth’s loyalty and dedication, God was able to use them to bring forth the Messiah!
God knows the potentials He deposited in women - the feminine spirit of love and tenderness. And He wasted no time in bringing in the beautiful and humble Esther to put egoistic man - Haman in his proper place thereby solving a dangerous national crisis.
Where warrior men like David, Saul, Samson, and Gideon strayed from God at the taste of power and fame, lusting after women and concubines, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Martha, Elizabeth, Ruth, Hannah, etc fulfilled their divine mandates and remained humbled to the end.
Throughout the pages of the Bible, we see women as silent workers, intercessors, Apostles, and caregivers who followed the ministry of Jesus and Paul. Some were unnamed, but they helped the Lord to fulfill His purpose for mankind. The Samaritan woman by the well of Sychar in John 4, Prophetess Anna, Luke 2:36, Dorcas the caregiver, the queen mother in the Book of Daniel, the little slave girl who won Naaman’s soul to the God of Israel. We cannot overlook the feminine Spirit in Pharaoh’s daughter who kept and prepared Moses for his destiny, what about the brave Rahab the harlot, and a woman of great wisdom who would allow her family to be destroyed because of the ego of a silly man - Abigail the peacemaker!
Please clap for women and the Feminine Spirit!
Do you know that as soon as Margret Thatcher became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, she brought in a law to protect children and women? The Child Support Programme - to cater to the children of the unemployed – feminine spirit at work!
God brings in the feminine spirit to drown the violence, bloodshed, brutality, and lovelessness, and bring peace and quiet.
God is doing it again, Jesus is calling on women again now in Nigeria to cry unto God in agony and tears of a mother whose children are being murdered by evil men, Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
The tears of women can draw down God’s goodness. And cause Him to withdraw His indignation and judgment on the land.
We can do it again like in the days of Esther and Mordecai!
Let us do it again!
